It’s true that cigarette smoking is injurious for you and also those around you and as such, it’s time you thought about your personal health because smoking causes long term damages that can sometimes be life threatening and you have only yourself to blame when your health deteriorates because of smoking.

In order to start kicking the habit or at least regulate and control the smoking urge to a certain extent you need to make a few basic changes. Do not smoke first thing when you wake up. Give your body a chance to wake up, so skip the first cigarette of the day for as long as you can.

Try and quit the habit of smoking during meals or picking up a cigarette just after meals. This urge isn’t going to do you any good because it’s as though eating is an excuse and smoking your cigarette is the real motive.
