Osteosarcoma Symptoms

Osteosarcoma is a type of bone cancer that is common in children and teens between the ages of 10 and 19. This type of cancer occurs when there is rapid development of bones and affects boys more than girls. It can as well occur in adults but it is very rare. Some of the symptoms of Osteosarcoma are having tumors in the shin, upper arm and thighs in children. These are the areas where pain and swelling occur in children.
Another common symptom of osteosarcoma is bone pain that is more intense at night or when doing exercises. Other common symptoms of osteosarcoma include fractures which occur because of the bones getting weak, limited range of emotions and inflammation or joint tenderness. There are other non-specific symptoms such as fever, fatigue, weight loss and anemia. To diagnose osteosarcoma, one has too undergo imaging tests like X-rays, CT and MRI for this will help to identify any abnormalities in the bones.
