Health care price is increasing at a faster pace in US. The health insurance cost paid by employers rose around 6.1% in the year 2007. After 2000, the employer based health care insurance has been increasing around 100% every year.

As far as employees are concerned, expense on health care insurance is the highly growing component of cost. This brings in a scenario where in the total expenditure towards employer health insurance will cross the profits by the end of 2008. The premiums they pay towards the health insurance coverage for their own needs and for their family have increased over years at a greater pace.
